To act in accordance with the promotion of total city electric bus expected in 2030 and to enhance public transportation riding quality in Changhua district, Taichung Motor Vehicles Office of Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and Changhua County Government have made an united application of replacement subsidy and purchase of 29 large electric buses for Chuang Hua Bus company; and the application has been approved by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, hopefully, it can bring better, more friendly and sustainable public transportation service to the public in Changhua District.
For 29 large electric buses of Chang Hua Bus, in the future, they will be running in 6 highway bus routes, namely, “【6903】Changhua - Tsaokangwei (through Tingfanpo)”, “【6904】: Changhua - Tsaokangwei (through HsienHsi)”, “【6906】Changhua – Shuiwei (through Homei)”, “【6907】Changhua - Shuiwei (through ChungLiao)”, “【6912】Changhua –Yuanlin (through Huatan)”, “【6934】Shuiwei - Changhua - Lukang”, and route 7 of City Bus of Changhua County; meanwhile, considerate and Accessibility Service will be provided to be used by disabled people, for business details, please go to the web pages of Chang Hua Bus company.
Chief Tsung-Hsien Yang of Taichung Motor Vehicles Office said that in this project, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and Environmental Protection Administration have invested in total a subsidy of 203 million NT dollars. The electric bus has characteristics such as low pollution and low noise, therefore, it is believed to bring totally different riding feeling to the public of Changhua County, in addition, Directorate General of Highways will still accept continuously the application of replacement subsidy for electric bus; and it will still work together with local governments to contribute to sustainable environmental protection; the general public are welcome to take a ride on this electric bus.
